Spurs target will let his contract run out

According to well respected European journalist Matteo Moretto, Jonathan David, a player that Spurs have held interest in, will not extend his Lille contract and a move [bid] from the Premier League is likely.
The strikers contract is up in the summer of 2025, which has prompted lots of interest from clubs in Europe, including Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Inter Live, Fabio Paratici is working behind the scenes to help bring David to North London, amid “strong competition” from Inter Milan. He believes he suits what Ange Postecoglu wants from an attacker, and tried to get Spurs to sign him this past summer.
The Canadian striker has made a good start to the 24/25 season, scoring five goals in seven Ligue 1 games, scoring at a rate of every 92 minutes. He also scored the winner from the spot against Real Madrid in the Champions League – as well as two goals for Canada in recent international friendlies.
To avoid losing him on a free transfer, Lille might be willing to sell him for a serious cut price in January. This could also possibly be the case with Angel Gomes, who is also rumoured to be a Spurs target, amongst others. The midfielder has seriously impressed for England since making his debut in September, which has only raised the interest in his services even more.
Even for a cut price, it would be interesting to see Spurs make a move, considering they already have Dominic Solanke, who is doing well. However, David has played a lot of games as an attacking midfield or second striker. Should he come in, perhaps we will see Ange move away from the current 433 set up - considering it is hard to see David fit into that set up, without Solanke coming out of the team.
