Why are Tottenham supporters so pessimistic this season?
At this point in the season Tottenham have one of the highest point totals through this many matches in club history and yet for some reason, people find a reason to doubt.
Tottenham can win the title this year. Of course, they can, with all the talent that they have and Mauricio Pochettino at the helm there’s not a single reason to doubt it. What doesn’t make any sense, however, is just how much people seem to doubt that.
Of course, there are other good teams in the league. This is the Premier League after all. Manchester City are excellent and they’re the favorites. Deservedly so by the way. Liverpool then are probably second best and starting to get their pace. But Tottenham then seem to be the third team in that conversation. Chelsea are tied with them for it but the Blues have the disadvantage of the Europa League and it’s poor scheduling issues to contend with.

It’s not even Christmas yet and for some reason, people have decided that the year is already over. It’s the Premier League for God’s sake. Anything could still happen and City are only 6 points ahead of Tottenham at this point. It’s not inconceivable that with the Champions League to contend with and the winter fixture list that Manchester City could drop points.
What is it about people that have already decided to desert one of the best teams they’ve had in club history. Things are building to move in the right direction for Tottenham. They have a good team, a fantastic manager, a new Stadium being opened at the exact right time and for some reason, people have yet to fully get behind the team the way that they should.
There’s not one single reason this Tottenham side can’t be the one to break the title duct. They’ve already done the hard work. So much is still up in the air and nothing is written. Tottenham can win the title the only thing that they need to do is believe it.
