Tottenham Hotspur forward Manor Solomon's days at N17 have been numbered for more than a year now, and the only reason why he is still a topic at the club this summer is because Spurs could not manage to find a landing spot for him last year. Villarreal took Solomon on loan, saw he wasn't good enough, and then terminated the loan, leading a desperate Fiorentina, with former Spurs executive Fabio Paratici at the helm, to pick him back up on loan.
It is telling that Fiorentina do not want to keep Solomon around, and Roberto De Zerbi has been busy giving him as much playing time as possible this summer in the preseason in the hopes of baiting someone into buying him. Solomon and his agent continue to make a stink about mistreatment and about how badly he wants to go, and Spurs, quite frankly, won't care one bit about what he has to say, because they also agree 100 percent that he needs to leave.
Finally, a destination is opening up for Spurs to send Solomon off to, and, just like last summer, the ideal landing spot for Solomon is the EFL Championship. He was pretty good for Leeds United in 2024/25 though was never going to stay there when the Peacocks fired themselves back up to the top flight, but now West Ham United are desperate to come back up after Tottenham Hotspur sent them down on Matchday 38 last season.
West Ham could be the right fit for Manor Solomon in the Championship
West Ham reportedly really like Manor Solomon as an option on the left wing after losing their gem Crysencio Summerville to the deep pockets of Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. And while Tottenham and West Ham have a rivalry, they do a lot of business together, with Spurs literally signing their two most valuable players in each of the past two summer markets: right winger Mohammed Kudus and now defensive midfielder Mateus Fernandes.
Tottenham would ideally like West Ham to buy Solomon permanently up front, but a loan deal with an obligation to buy or even a loan deal with an option to buy would suit Spurs just dandy. And bonus points if Spurs can somehow work in clause, if it is a loan deal, that mandates West Ham purchase Solomon permanently if they come back to the Premier League.
The Championship is the right level for Solomon, as he is of no use to Spurs in the Premier League when they left wings they want to target are from Manchester City and Liverpool. If West Ham are really interested in biting and buying Solomon, then Spurs can't afford to say no.
