The next player Tottenham should send packing after Vicario is crystal clear

Tottenham are likely to offload at least a few players this summer as Roberto De Zerbi looks to continue putting his own stamp on his team. Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke have already been snapped up this summer, and more signings are expected.

Spurs know they must improve radically after back-to-back bottom-half Premier League finishes, and the board knows significant investment is a must.

But the North London club are going to have to make room for those new arrivals, both physically and financially, and we are likely to see a few high-profile exits at Hotspur Way this summer.

Dragusin should follow Vicario exit

Spurs are likely to lose their starting goalkeeper this summer, with Guglielmo Vicario set to leave the club amid interest in his home country of Italy. Vicario has been a steady performer for the most part, but he is said to be keen on joining a club at the top end of a table, and it's likely his pursuit will take him to Italy.

Spurs are also likely to sell Cristian Romero, but that particular exit will come later in the summer, after the World Cup due to his participation with Argentina this summer. But on the topic of centre-backs, Spurs should be offering Radu Dragusin to other clubs currently.

It would be unfair to criticise Dragusin's effort, but he simply isn't good enough if Tottenham have European ambitions. Few players in this squad epitomise the below-standard nature of the squad more than the Romanian, who has almost always looked out of place.

Dragusin has been part of some poor defences, which may have made him look worse, but the versatile centre-back, who can also play holding midfield, hasn't looked good enough in any of the roles he has played, often looking clumsy, particularly off the ball.

Whenever Romero or Van de Ven have been absent, the drop down to Dragusin has often been all too noticeable, and Spurs need players who are going to come in and offer sufficient cover wherever they play.

Securing those kind of squad players has to be part of this overhaul, and equally shipping out players who cannot meet the standard. Dragusin is one of those players, and while at 24 he can still go on and become a decent player elsewhere, he is not good enough to play for a De Zerbi team hoping to qualify for Europe next season. It's time for Spurs to cut their losses.
