Roberto De Zerbi is aiming to complete the swiftest of squad overhauls this summer, and the Italian wants "important" players to arrive to bolster his attack.
Spurs had acted proactively and ruthlessly to revamp their defence and midfield. Jan Paul van Hecke arrived from Brighton & Hove Albion as a suspected Cristian Romero replacement, while Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali joined for a combined £185m.
The club has twice smashed its transfer record, and supplemented its big-money arrivals with astute free agent signings. Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dúbravka all signed after their contracts with their respective clubs expired.
Selling also hasn't been an issue, with impressive fees garnered for the likes of Luka Vušković and Will Lankshear. There's expected to be more streamlining soon, with the absences of Guglielmo Vicario, Pape Matar Sarr and Rodrigo Bentancur from De Zerbi's touring squad suggesting that they're on the chopping block.
However, for Spurs to safely say they've rebuilt successfully this summer, they must improve an attack bereft of quality, especially with Mohammed Kudus and Dejan Kulusevski recovering from long-term injuries.

De Zerbi is content with the club's work in the market so far, but the Italian knows that there is still work to be done. Spurs have been linked with an array of attackers, ranging from Eli Junior Kroupi to Antonio Nusa, but the Lilywhites aren't any closer to striking a deal with any of their targets as they were at the start of the window, it would seem.
Outlining the final phase of his summer rebuild, De Zerbi told reporters in Auckland (via Alasdair Gold): “Yes, the target now is to complete the attacking positions. We want the first level, because we have already important players.
"But to start a new project we need another couple of important players."
By "important", he means the highest of quality. The aforementioned Kroupi is supposedly our priority centre forward target, but Bournemouth are demanding the world. It'd take a fee close to £100m to convince them to sell.
Out wide, it looked like progress was being made with Savinho, only for that deal to hit another brick wall. Cody Gakpo, Rafael Leão and Nusa have been tenuously linked. At this stage, there's no clear No. 1 target to bolster either wing position, which is a slight concern.
Fortunately, time is still on our side. We've got six weeks until the transfer window shuts, and a month until our Premier League campaign gets underway.
