Real Madrid transfer plan is brilliant news for Tottenham Hotspur
By Kian Long
Here is why the latest Real Madrid transfer plan is incredible news for Tottenham Hotspur. The same cannot be said for Liverpool or Man United.
It is certainly hard to keep up with every Real Madrid transfer move, considering they are linked to every player under the sun. However, from a Tottenham perspective, it's been pretty impossible to avoid their interest in Pedro Porro of late.
The Spanish full-back is of interest to the Spanish capital. This comes as no surprise, considering he plays in the position which Real Madrid currently need to recruit in the most right now - right-back.
Dani Carvajal is out for the foreseeable future. His replacement, Lucas Vazquez, has also been touch-and-go on the injury front over the last few weeks.

Real Madrid know their transfer preference and it's Trent Alexander-Arnold. If they fail to sign the Liverpool full-back, they have located Man United star Diogo Dalot as his alternative.
If Real Madrid wish to pursue Diogo Dalot, it is likely to cost around £50m. While this isn't an ideal price to pay for a defender, we all know that Real Madrid are capable of paying this. It is also worth noting that both Dalot and Trent would be cheaper options than Porro.
Therefore, Real Madrid are considering their options in this position. The good news for Tottenham is that, at least for now, they are focused on two players outside of Tottenham.
The even better news is that both players play for Tottenham's Premier League rivals, so they could be weakened. This is not in Spurs' control but admittedly, it is a welcomed benefit.
Pedro Porro is one of the best full-backs in the world. He gives an entirely new definition to the word full-back as he is both creative and marauding.
It is certainly within Tottenham's best interest to keep ahold of Pedro Porro. This is why it was so concerning when Real Madrid first became interested in him - It should've been expected, though, considering Los Blancos want to sign the best players in every position.
As it stands, Pedro Porro is under contract in North London until 2028. Therefore, the ball is truly in Tottenham's court here. They don't need to sell Porro if they wish otherwise, however, if it is unavoidable then at least Spurs can slap a huge price over his head.
