Spurs are set to showdown with Brighton and Hove Albion later this afternoon, in their final game before the October international break. With Ange Postecoglu's side coming into the game off the back of five consecutive wins, across three different competitions - beating Coventry City, Brentford, Qarabag, Manchester United and Ferencvaros. Keeping Brentford to one goal and minimal chances has in particular aged very well for Spurs.

Ange Postecoglu has made changes to the side that beat Ferencvaros in the Europa League on Thursday night, going for the following line up;

Vicario, Porro, Romero, Udogie, Van De Ven, Kulusevski, Bentancur Maddison; Johnson, Solanke, Werner. Udogie makes the starting eleven despite being touch and go all week.

Plenty of spectators are intrigued by this match up, in what promises to be a gung-ho affair. It is well documented how high a line Spurs play, but Brighton notably played extremely high in their game against Chelsea last week, with Enzo Maresca's side having a lot of joy in behind their defence and scoring several goals from it.

Fabian Hurzeler's side have had a mixed start to the Premier League season. They picked up seven points from their first three games, but have only picked up two points from their subsequent three games, and find themselves one point below Spurs heading into this clash at the Amex.

Johnson made it five goals in as many games on Thursday night, meaning he has scored in all of the five games in Spurs' current win streak. He is the player in particular who will be suited to playing against this Brighton high line, and will have plenty of space during transitions. Particularly with Jan Paul van Hecke missing for the hosts. The Welshman scored a 96th minute winner at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium the last time Spurs played against Brighton.

It should be a high scoring game, although hopefully not like the 4-2 defeat that Spurs suffered in this fixture last season. With the missing personnel for Brighton, it would certainly feel like a missed opportunity should Ange's side not take all three points.
