Tottenham midfielder apologies for off field mistake
By Tom Vinall
A report from Sunday evening has shown that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma filmed himself inhaling laughing gas, before uploading it to his Snapchat story.
The possession of laughing gas, with an intention to get high, became illegal back in 2023.
The report says that the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder apologized for his actions, saying it was a "severe lack of judgment" to do what he did.
To finish off, the report stated that Spurs have said that they are looking into the events and it will be dealt with internally.
Considering how, as mentioned above, what Bissouma did was illegal - there could be quite a punishment handed to the Malian midfielder.
With fellow midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur potentially facing a ban, the last thing Ange or anyone at Spurs needs is another midfielder also being banned and their services not being available. It is worth noting, however, that the report does not mention any external punishment.

The news has absolutely infuriated Spurs fans, who saw Bissouma's impressive pre-season as a chance for a fresh start for the midfielder who struggled for consistency last season.
Whilst the midfielder may, or may not, face a ban, even if he does escape punishment of that sort, Ange Postecoglu will be absolutely furious with his behavior and putting his availability to him [Ange} and the club in jeopardy.
Ange will probably be curious as to what is worse - illegally taking laughing gas or being a 28-year-old who uploads Snapchat stories.
The Spurs manager may indeed leave him out of the line-up to face Leicester City next Monday as a form of punishment. With Archie Gray impressing in pre-season, he could easily see the 18-year-old as the partner to Pape Sarr who is almost certain to start, especially now.
Until he does get any sort of aforementioned ban, Bentancur is also a player who could very feasibly start in place of Bissouma, and the ironically Leicester City-linked Oliver Skipp is still available for selection for the time being.
