Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on their second signing of this summer's transfer window. In a post on X, Tottenham insider Alasdair Gold reports that the club is finalizing a deal for 18-year-old winger Yang Min-hyuk from K League side Gangwon.
While fans will have to wait until at least January to see Yang in a Spurs shirt as he sees out the Korean domestic season, he is set to be included in the K League All-Star squad to face Tottenham in Seoul next week.
According to K League journalist Nathan Sartain, Yang was fast-tracked to the Gangwon first team following some impressive performances for the national U17 side and in pre-season last year. After an impressive start to the season, the winger made history by becoming the first K League player to sign a professional contract while in the middle of a semi-professional deal (via K League United).

His versatility to play on either wing and direct attacking style of play is sure to have been attractive for Ange Postecoglou, whose game plan favors those who show versatility across the front line.
The 18-year-old also fits the clear age profile of Spurs' apparent transfer policy, with Archie Gray joining from Leeds United earlier this summer and Lucas Bergvall arriving at the club following his transfer from Djurgarden last January.
A deciding factor from the player's perspective is sure to be the chance to learn from Korean national hero Son Heung-min. The Spurs and South Korean captain is sure to be helpful on and off the pitch for his compatriot.
Min is set to become the club's third-ever South Korean player. Left-back Young pyo-Lee spent three seasons at the club between 2005 and 2008, making 69 Premier League appearances (via Transfermarkt).
