Having already been named in Alan Shearer's Premier League Team of the Week, Tottenham Hotspur central defender Micky van de Ven has been named in the EAFC 25 Team of the Week, for his sublime assist as well as clean sheet in the 3-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

His base stats read as; 89 pace, 50 shooting, 67 passing, 74 dribbling, 85 defending, and 84 physical, and his rating is an 84, a +2 upgrade on his base card of 82. The pace feels particularly harsh here, considering he has the top speed of any player in the Premier League. His 50 shooting also suggests that nobody at EA saw his stunning goal at home to Nottingham Forest last season.

He is the second Tottenham Hotspur player to be named in the team of the week, for the recently released EAFC25 game, with skipper Heung Min-Son having been included last week after his two assists and superb all round performance in the 3-1 win over Brentford.

Van De Ven's team of the week card already costs over 380 thousand coins, with several players desperate to get their hands on it ahead of the first week of 'FUT champions' that commences this coming weekend.

For context, Lionel Messi's team of the week card, from the first week of the new EAFC, costs around 150 thousand coins.

Many Spurs fans will be looking to partner Van De Ven with Cristian Romero's Europa League 'road to the knockout' card, which can be upgraded depending on how well Spurs do in the league phase of the competition. Romero's card is currently 88 rated, and has a market value of around 150 thousand coins.

The week continues to get better for Van De Ven, with a call up to the Netherlands national team ahead of their nations league fixtures against Hungary and Germany the one last thing that he will be looking for on an individual basis. Fingers crossed for him.
