Spurs loan watch: Which Tottenham loanee is in action this weekend?
By Tom Vinall
The weekend is approaching, and with it, another Spurs game, as Ange Postecoglou's side face Everton at home. But it also has plenty of games for Spurs loanees.
Let's see who they are up against.
Which Tottenham loanee is in action this weekend?
Dane Scarlett and his Oxford United side will be looking to bounce back from their heartbreaking last-minute defeat away to Coventry City last weekend, as they are once again on the road - this time up North against Blackburn Rovers.
The 20-year-old could only manage an injury-time cameo on his debut for the Yellows last weekend and will be doing his best to push manager Des Buckingham for a start at Ewood Park on Saturday. Kick-off is 10:00 ET, 15:00 BST.
Luka Vuskovic and his KVC Westerlo side will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 4-1 defeat to Gent last weekend when they host OH Leuven this Saturday. Despite the defeat last weekend, Westerlo are still second in the league with nine points from four games and will be looking to make that 12 points from five on Saturday. Kick-off is 12:15 ET, 17:15 BST
Alejo Veliz and his Espanyol counterparts are hoping to put the disappointment of their opening-day defeat to fellow newly promoted side Real Valladolid behind them when they host Real Sociedad this weekend. Veliz started the opening game and will be hoping he did enough to start this time around too. Kick-off is 15:30 ET, 20:30 BST.
Bryan Gil and his Girona side have a huge game, traveling to Atletico Madrid on Sunday. Girona finished above their counterparts last season, but have been seriously asset-stripped this summer and it will be an almighty tough game. Kick-off is 15:30 ET, 20:30 BST.
Other Spurs youngsters, such as Alfie Devine and Ashley Phillips have also been tipped for loans, but any potential deal made will probably come too soon for this coming weekend, regardless of when they are completed.
Good luck to everyone playing this weekend.
