Tottenham Hotspur appear to be incredibly active in the summer transfer window. With the belief held by many that they are only a few signings away from being a top club, a goal-scoring centre-forward is certainly at the top of that list. Thankfully for Tottenham fans, it's a priority which has been noted by Ange Postecoglou, hence Tottenham's interest in Dominic Solanke.

It is believed that Tottenham are the favourites to land Dominic Solanke from AFC Bournemouth. Some reports even suggest that Tottenham could offload their own Richarlison in order to fund the move for Solanke.

The striker finished third in the Premier League Golden Boot rankings last season, with 19 goals scored. An incredible achievement and he was the top scorer of the bottom-half by a country mile. Naturally, then, he's linked with a step-up from Bournemouth.

Fabrizio Romano says Dominic Solanke isn’t the only Tottenham transfer target

According to an update from Fabrizio Romano, Dominic Solanke is indeed on the Tottenham transfer target shortlist. However, he isn't the only striker who Tottenham could sign. Indeed, as per GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham could sign two players up front, "based on opportunities", but there will be at least one signing there.

In his own words, Fabrizio Romano said: “I think the main focus is going to be up front. They need one more offensive player, at least one. Could be two, based on opportunities. But for sure, Tottenham will be busy there. For example, one of the players they like is Dominic Solanke."

But how advanced is the interest in Dominic Solanke? After all, fans are beginning to catch on that in this transfer economy, "interest" is essentially rendered useless, until a concrete move has been made. Well, Fabrizio Romano also provided an update on this front, claiming: "I’m told that Tottenham really explored the possibility of making a move for Dominic Solanke.”

Son Heung-Min did an excellent job at providing the goals for Tottenham last season. However, it's been proven time and time again, that his best position is out on the left. Therefore, Ange Postecoglou is incentivised to sign a centre forward, so that he could get the best out of the new man AND his best player, Son.

Last season, Richarlison showed great improvement. The Brazil international was one of Tottenham's best players and he was a mainstay under Ange Postecoglou. However, due to disciplinary and fitness concerns, there is an argument to be made that selling Richarlison and replacing him as the centre-forward isn't the worst idea in the world.

Do you think Tottenham should sign Dominic Solanke this summer?
