Tottenham's defensive issues have been evident over the past few seasons, and while the addition of Micky van de Ven in the summer was a major boost, his injury alongside those of Ashley Phillips and Ryan Sessegnon have worsened the matter.
Spurs have considered a number of options to reinforce the center-back ranks including Marc Guehi, Lloyd Kelly, Radu Dragusin, and Piero Hincapie.
In recent days Jean-Clair Todibo has been added to the conversation with Tottenham reportedlyconsidering a move for the player. Now, those rumors have been confirmed, as Fabrizio Romano reports on the current status of the deal.

The news comes as a huge relief for Spurs fans who are hoping to see a number of signings join Ange and company this upcoming month.
The club will likely have to compete with other English clubs like Manchester United, whose newest 25% owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is also the owner of Todibo's current club, and is said to be interested in bringing him to Old Trafford.
Supporters should keep an eye out for updates on the development of this deal, as Ange has previously stated his preference for doing business at the start of the transfer window, now less than two weeks away.
