Tottenham Hotspur have been pretty active in the summer transfer window. Ange Postecoglou is taking no time to get to work on his plans, which will sit well with the Tottenham supporters. Having already secured the signing of Lucas Bergvall ahead of time, Spurs added another teenager in Archie Gray to their midfield ranks last week.
It makes sense that Tottenham are primarily linked to midfield acquisitions this summer. After all, this is the position which could leave Ange as the most loose-pocketed next season. With key player departures such as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the midfield, Spurs would like to strengthen for the future.
That said, even after adding Bergvall and Gray to the pecking order, Ange Postecoglou is not done there. His latest addition to the transfer shortlist is, you guessed it, a young midfielder/winger...

According to a report from Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel (h/t GiveMeSport), Tottenham Hotspur have added Desire Doue to their transfer shortlist. Also, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring his situation.
In his own words, Romano said: "Bayern are one of the clubs that are monitoring Desire Doue... Paris Saint-Germain have been following the player, and Bayern have been in contact also with the people close to the player. Also, Tottenham have Desire Doue in their shortlist alongside other targets, and so many clubs are keeping close eyes on this player."
Indeed, fans should expect to see plenty more of Desire Doue's name in the coming weeks. He is an immensely talented youngster who is versatile enough to play as a midfielder or a winger. It is this level of versatility which help Ange Postecoglou to decipher his best lineup, giving the Aussie manager plenty of options going forward. It will also help the youngster to settle into his new surroundings.
However, Tottenham fans should not get excited too early. As Romano said, Doue is among other targets as far as Tottenham are concerned. Furthermore, there is strong competition from some of the biggest financial powerhouses in Europe.
