Now that he has had a full season under his belt to learn about the strengths and weaknesses of this Tottenham team, Ange Postecoglou is best-placed to make the necessary cutthroat decisions about which players should leave. For the convenience of Tottenham fans, here are 4 Tottenham Hotspur players who definitely won’t be back next season...

4 Tottenham Hotspur players who definitely won’t be back next season

1. Eric Dier

Eric Dier is a long-term Tottenham player and he has been a fan favourite for many years. However, he will now ply his trade in the Bundesliga, as he has been signed permanently by Bayern Munich, joining Harry Kane on a permanent basis in the 2024/25 season.

This was expected from the Tottenham faithful, as Eric Dier impressed while he was on loan in the second half of the season, playing in some big Champions League matches. Dier has done a lot for the club, so he leaves with no bitter feelings.

2. Ivan Perisic

Another player who impressed while on loan in 2024 is Ivan Perisic. The full-back has grown surplus to requirements under Ange Postecoglou and now he will return to his home country to represent Hajduk Split permanently for the 2024/25 season. Perisic has already played the last of his 39 Premier League appearances for Tottenham.

3. Japhet Tanganga

Having played for Tottenham Hotspur for fifteen years, youth academy product Japhet Tanganga has already bode farewell to the Tottenham supporters, as he will not return as a player next season. In fact, the Hackney-born defender has run out of contract without an extension, so Tottenham will not obtain a transfer fee for Tanganga. In total, he made 27 Premier League appearances for Spurs.

4. Ryan Sessegnon

Unfortunately, it wasn't to be for Ryan Sessegnon in North London. After signing from Fulham in 2019, Sessegnon will complete his five-year tenure with Tottenham at the end of this month. He will leave the club on a free transfer, as he has run out of contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
