Rumours suggest Amanda Staveley may invest in Tottenham, raising speculation about Ange Postecoglou's future, with Newcastle United and Celtic managers as potential replacements.

The rumour mill is once again abuzz with suggestions that Amanda Staveley may be investing in Tottenham Hotspur soon, despite some of her businesses facing difficulties.

The speculation has reignited discussions about the future of Spurs' manager, with Newcastle United's Eddie Howe and Celtic's Brendan Rodgers emerging as frontrunners for the job.

Staveley, who played a pivotal role in the 2021 takeover of Newcastle United by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), has recently hinted at her business plans through a statement issued via Bloomberg.

While her recent presence at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the NFL game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears raised eyebrows, it coincided with the liquidation of two companies, including one suspected to be linked to her potential investment in Spurs.

Despite this setback, Staveley’s statement suggests that these changes are strategic, aimed at minimising the impact of the anticipated capital gains tax increase under Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour government.

It's understood that she won’t be using her own funds for the investment but will instead leverage her extensive contacts and experience in facilitating such deals.

With Daniel Levy and the Spurs board openly seeking further investment to enhance the club’s growth on and off the pitch, it’s no surprise that Staveley's involvement has reignited speculation around a managerial change.

Sources from The Sun have reported that she views Eddie Howe as the ideal successor to current manager Ange Postecoglou.

Staveley’s admiration for Howe stems from his successful stint at Newcastle, where he transformed the club into serious contenders for a top-four finish in the Premier League.

Although Postecoglou has introduced a refreshing attacking style at Tottenham, the team's inconsistent results have led some to question his ability to secure European football for the club.

The current season marks Spurs' worst start in over a decade, prompting discussions about whether Postecoglou is the right fit for the long term.

Despite this, Levy continues to back him, given the four-year contract he signed upon joining the club last summer.

Complicating matters is the potential influence of Staveley, especially if she pushes for a managerial change.

Alongside Howe, Brendan Rodgers has also been linked with the managerial role at Spurs and Everton.

While Rodgers appears content at Celtic for now, the mounting pressure on Postecoglou could lead to significant changes at Tottenham.
