Harry Kane needs absolutely no introduction to a Tottenham fan website. The guy is Tottenham. Everything that Tottenham is known as today is largely thanks to Harry Kane.
It's not popular to give a 21st-century player the acclaim as Tottenham's GOAT. It's particularly not popular when that player didn't win any trophies. But come on, name a Tottenham player who made a greater impact than Kane.
It's scary to think where Tottenham would be without Harry Kane. He could have so easily smashed the English goal-scoring record, but decided to pack his bags to play for Bayern Munish instead.
Still, that goal-scoring knack has followed him, much to Cristiano Ronaldo's dismay.
Harry Kane just achieved something that Cristiano Ronaldo never
Harry Kane recently surpassed the 100-goal mark for a European goal in record time. He reached 100 Bayern Munich goals in 104 games, taking the record away from Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland (both scored 100 goals for their respective clubs in 105 games).
Look, everybody knows Cristiano Ronaldo was a better player than Harry Kane is in his prime. However, that only makes this record even more impressive.
When Kane first broke onto the scene, he was dubbed a "one season wonder" and fans of other clubs doubted whether he could make it in the Premier League long-term. He proved those doubters wrong by becoming one of the best players the Premier League has ever seen.
Then, when he moved to Bayern Munich, he was criticized for picking an early retirement home. But actually, he proved those doubters wrong yet again by levelling up even more in Bavarian red.
There is every likelihood that Tottenham ends up facing Bayern Munich in the Champions League this season. The two sides didn't draw each other in the league phase, but both are predicted to make it through to the knockouts. Then, Kane might get his homecoming.
It would be a weird feeling to face Kane. Like we mentioned, the feeling among the fanbase is that Kane is Tottenham.
Nevertheless, there remains some hope in the air that Kane will return to Tottenham in more than just an 'I'm coming to score against you' capacity.
Who knows? The priority clause could (and we must emphasize the could) see Kane heading back Hotspur Way to complete the fairytale he left on a cliffhanger.
