Tanguy Ndombele will be packing his bags and leaving north London in the coming week, as negotiations between Tottenham and PSG progress.

If you take for gospel Rudy Galetti’s news, it would appear Ndombele is chucking his personal possessions into a duffle bag, or, more likely, getting someone to do it for him.

Though Calciomercato isn’t the most reliable, reputable publication, all signs point to Tanguy’s imminent departure. The untenable situation at Spurs cannot and will not persist. Fortunately a few clubs have made clear their desire to sign Tanguy, the most logical of which would see him reunite with Mauricio Pochettino, the gaffer who orchestrated his signing at Spurs.

The exiled Tottenham midfielder is also of interest to Atletico Madrid, according to L’Équipe via Atletico Universe. Sounds like an epic Chinese whisper. There is also some news filtering through from Germany about a Bundesliga club’s interest, though nothing has yet been confirmed on that front.

The best news is yet to come:

PSG are willing to pay all of Ndombele’s outrageously high £200,000 per-week salary. Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar and owner of PSG, has pockets so deep he can, with go-go-Gadget arms, reach into his overpriced tailored trousers and touch Australia. I feel like I’m dating myself with the Inspector Gadget reference.

The French juggernaut want an option to buy and have also pitched to Spurs the idea of sending one of their midfielder’s in an exchange.  Though Tottenham have no interest in an overwhelmingly ancient PSG midfield. The player they would be amenable to, Achraf Hakimi, is most definitely not for sale.

Next. Three reasons this time against Chelsea will be different. dark

These are the finer details of a complicated negotiation, but both parties involved are invested and dedicated to getting this deal done. I wish Tanguy showed the same investment in the Lilywhites. This is a mutually beneficial deal that is going to happen. Like the Adama Traore deal, it’s a matter of when, not if.
