Tottenham Hotspur have finally got their man. They have signed Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, and he is ready to bring his exploits to England.
Kolo Muani is a good addition to the squad, considering he can play across the front line with relative ease. That eases Thomas Frank's headache too, as he would not have to worry about attacking options for the entire season.
But of course, just like there are with sales, there are multiple winners for this deal. A number of players will benefit from this, and there may be a couple that would not love this as much as the others. Let's get into it.
2 winners (and 2 losers) of Tottenham signing Randal Kolo Muani
Winner - Mohammed Kudus
Kudus is an automatic winner here. He is a brilliant addition to this Tottenham side that desperately lacked quality on the wings.
Having Kolo Muani around him would unlock a lot of space for Kudus, and the Frenchman's pace will surely come in handy for any early crosses or passes from deep from Kudus, who can probably see another layer of dynamism being added to Tottenham's attack after this signing.
This one's going to be fun to watch. Kudus is an exciting winger, and having Kolo Muani leading the attack can definitely help his chances of improving his goals and assists' tally.
Loser - Richarlison
Richarlison is only starting at the moment because of Dominic Solanke's fitness troubles.
And he has played well. Two goals in three Premier League games. He has certainly not let Solanke's void be felt as much as people expected, but he would still be Solanke's backup when the Englishman returns.
If Kolo Muani is going to play as a striker, then Richarlison's numbers will go a bit further down as well.
It won't be that bad, because Kolo Muani can still play in multiple positions, but this move will likely see a reduction in Richarlison's minutes anyway. So, it's not ideal.
Winner - Cristian Romero
Right, here me out. Romero is not a direct winner in this scenario, as they obviously play quite far from each other on the pitch. But Kolo Muani's qualities, should he become a starter and have a big impact on the game, would give Romero some breathing room.
Romero is tasked with a lot of defensive duties at the moment, and there would be just that little ease in pressure if the attack is firing on all cylinders.
Romero does a good job either way, but a successful spell from Kolo Muani will have his advantages across the pitch.
Loser - Mathys Tel
Mathys Tel was brought in from Bayern as this brilliantly talented striker who could sort of do it all, with bucketloads of potential.
Tel did not get the opportunity to perform at Bayern, and now, at Spurs, he hasn't impressed any coach so far. He has played 30 minutes across four games this season, and although he can play out on the wing, too, his minutes will be reduced because, well, so can Kolo Muani.
In fact, Kolo Muani can take Tel's minutes on the wing as well as up top, leaving his French counterpart with not a lot to work with.
It remains to be seen how Frank manages everyone's minutes, but he has his work cut out for him if he wants to keep everyone happy.
