Tottenham Hotspur fans have seen enough from the striker position this season to know that what they currently have isn't good enough. Although Randal Kolo Muani has shown a decent all-around game to him, it's pretty clear that he's not going to be the solution in the Premier League from a scoring perspective.

Kolo Muani and Dominic Solanke haven't been healthy enough to make a real impact on Tottenham this season, and while Mathys Tel has potential, he's not ready to be the main man at the 9 just yet. Spurs have mostly been starting Richarlison at striker with predictably poor results, and, lately, his performances have simply become untenable in the starting lineup.

So returning executive Fabio Paratici is back on the hunt for a striker for Tottenham, and after looking at his former employers Juventus and convincing the club to take a gamble on Kolo Muani as a loan transfer, he may be after another Juventus striker. And while this player is familiar to Spurs as a recent transfer target, it isn't only Dusan Vlahovic they are after.

Tottenham want to go for the free agent they didn't sign

According to a report from Pete O'Rourke of Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are taking a gander at both Juve strikers Vlahovic and Jonathan David. Like Lois Openda, David has been struggling as a new, hyped up addition for Juve, and he actually chose to sign with the Bianconeri over clubs like Tottenham, possibly because he favored Serie A and the prestige of Juve and possibly because Juve were willing to spend more on his wages.

Tottenham, though, are going to be more relaxed with wage spending now that Daniel Levy is gone, and if they can finagle favorable loan terms, they may make a play for David on loan with an option to buy, just as they did with Tel last winter - and just like how they acquired Kolo Muani on loan from PSG above continued interest from Italy's Old Lady.

David was one of the most coveted free agents on the summer transfer window, as he was consistently a star for Lille, improving his all around game and regularly scoring around 15 goals in Ligue 1. Now, he's been a total bust for Juventus at the striker position this season, offering no real goal threat, but Tottenham and other clubs may feel that Juve are not the most accurate measuring stick for a striker's quality due to all of their recent dysfunction as a club.
