It's been quite the 24 hours for Tottenham supporters.

The summer transfer window had struggled to catch light in N17 as a result of the time taken to part ways with Ange Postecoglou and replace him with Thomas Frank. Spurs were always playing catch-up, but they've accelerated considerably during the second week of July.

The week started with the addition of Japanese international Kota Takai to supply defensive depth, before progress was made on Wednesday regarding a deal for West Ham's Mohammed Kudus. After a £55m deal was agreed with the bitter Hammers, it quickly—and unexpectedly—became clear who the next target was.

Morgan Gibbs-White had caught the eye of Manchester City earlier in the window, but the Cityzens had reportedly been priced out of a move. Thus, when our interest in Nottingham Forest's talisman emerged out of the blue, few expected a deal to be completed with such stunning efficiency.

Tottenham move swiftly to secure deal for Morgan Gibbs-White

Some may have expected a protracted saga, but reports suggested that the deal was moving quickly. Within hours of our interest being reported, we got the "Here we go!" from Fabrizio Romano.

The presence of a secret £60m release clause allowed the club to move quickly, and Gibbs-White will undergo a medical on Friday before joining Kudus as the second high-profile Premier League arrival of Tottenham's suddenly exciting summer.

The Englishman's signing means Spurs have rapidly committed to a £115m outlay in no time at all, which seems very un-Daniel Levy like. There have been rumours of a cash injection from ENIC, but those claims are yet to be confirmed.

The addition of Kudus, which has been complemented by some tremendous work from the social media team, rightfully garnered plenty of buzz, and to pair him with Gibbs-White means Spurs are an Adam Wharton away from utopia.

Thomas Frank is set to be blessed with a couple of ball-carrying demons to bolster his attack, although there's scope for Gibbs-White to potentially play a box-to-box midfield role under the Dane. The Forest star has recorded 15 Premier League goal contributions in consecutive seasons, with much of his destructive work arriving in transition.

He's incredibly dynamic and will verticalise this Tottenham attack in tandem with Kudus. His ability to run amok when space is afforded to him on the counter-attack is complemented by a knack for making the right decision in the final third. Moreover, Gibbs-White is utterly relentless without possession and just seems perfect for the new manager.

These are two proper signings.
