Thomas Frank will have to convince Daniel Levy to fork out a hefty sum if he's to reunite with Christian Norgaard this summer.

The former Brentford manager has succeeded Ange Postecoglou in north London off the back of the club's Europa League success, and there have unsurprisingly been plenty of transfer links between Spurs and current Bees stars.

Bryan Mbeumo, Yoane Wissa and Nathan Collins are among the names Frank supposedly wants to bring with him to N17. The aforementioned Norgaard, meanwhile, has struggled to escape the Dane throughout his senior career. Frank was the midfielder's coach for Denmark U17s and subsequently played under him at Brondby and Brentford.

Could the new Spurs boss target another reunion?

After parting ways with Frank, Brentford look set to lose Mbeumo—likely to Manchester United—while captain Norgaard has attracted interest from both north London clubs.

David Ornstein reports that Arsenal have launched a £9.2m bid for the Dane, but that falls well short of the £45m valuation noted by the Evening Standard (via Hotspur Lane on X). Brentford are never going to get that sort of money for a sturdy 31-year-old midfielder with two years left on his contract, but the Bees are well within their rights to demand so much given the potential for them to be gutted in the aftermath of Frank's exit.

Norgaard is said to be keen on a move to Arsenal, but the Gunners, who could be losing Thomas Partey, will surely have to stump up more cash to convince Brentford to sell. Nevertheless, their small opening bid should encourage Frank and Spurs if they want to sign the Danish international themselves.

We're certainly in the market for a new midfielder this summer, and Norgaard is a dependable option who fits the 'destroyer' profile we need. He's an intelligent footballer who's long gone under the radar, and I'd be slightly jealous if Arsenal were to pick him up. He'd be an excellent backup option.

Norgaard's not a player to lose sleep over, but his experience with Frank means it's hard to imagine a move to N17 failing to pan out. The 31-year-old recorded nine league goal contributions last season despite his rather conservative role, and he continued to carry a distinct threat from set-pieces. Norgaard is brilliant in the air.

Arsenal appear to be the current frontrunners for his signature in the event of Partey's departure, but their early move may convince Spurs to act.
