In today's Tottenham injury news - Ange Postecoglou has issued his final Son Heung-min update. Will the Tottenham captain play against Aston Villa this weekend?

Son Heung-min has been on the Tottenham Hotspur treatment table since Spurs beat West Ham in the middle of October. Being a goal-scorer in the match, the Tottenham captain was omitted from the match in the 70th minute. It was later revealed he had picked up an injury.

As it stands, Son Heung-min has missed three games for Tottenham - In the Europa League, Premier League and EFL Cup. Now, the question remains will Son Heung-min play against Aston Villa?

What injury does Son Heung-min have?

There is no official diagnosis for Son Heung-min. Before his current injury, Son Heung-min had a hamstring injury. However, his current injury is not confirmed to be related.

When will Son Heung-min return from injury?

Speaking to the press on Friday afternoon, Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed that Son Heung-min could be available for Tottenham by Sunday, in time to face Aston Villa.

In his own words, Ange Postecoglou said: "Sonny has sort of trained today. If he gets through training tomorrow, he should be okay.”

Needless to say, it is brilliant news that Tottenham has Son Heung-min back in contention. Whether or not he starts, even having him in the squad to call upon is a welcomed boost for Ange Postecoglou.

Who could replace Son Heung-min at Tottenham?

Hopefully, Som Heung-min will be available again this weekend. Considering he has trained, it looks positive for the Tottenham captain.

However, if he is unavailable, then Tottenham do have options. Mikey Moore has impressed in recent weeks and he is capable of playing in Son Heung-min's position.

Furthermore, Brennan Johnson has been one of Tottenham's best players this season. Therefore, Ange Postecoglou might face a nice selection headache for the Aston Villa game. A nice problem to have, it must be said.

Is Son Heung-min available for Fantasy Football?

Yes. Now that Son Heung-min has returned to training, he should be available for fantasy football again.

However, there will be question marks about whether or not he will start against Aston Villa, given his time away from the starting lineup. Either way, whether he starts or comes off the bench, Son Heung-min is a great option for fantasy football as he guarantees attacking returns throughout the season.
