Tottenham has had a rather challenging start to the season. The Spurs currently sit in ninth place in the Premier League after seven matches, having won only three games in this competition.
They’ve also faced difficulties in their two UEFA Europa League matches and in the one Carabao Cup tie they’ve played.
Amidst these struggles, it has been suggested that Ange Postecoglou's side lacks offensive creativity.
With the absence of Son Heung-min, Richarlison, and Wilson Odobert, alongside the underwhelming performances of players like Timo Werner, it’s clear that Tottenham needs to think about the future. This involves not just replacing certain players but also enhancing the options available in the squad.
In this regard, we believe that Tottenham should target an attacking duo on a free transfer next summer.

LOSC Lille striker Jonathan David (24) and his teammate, England international Angel Gomes (24), have been shining in Ligue 1 and are arguably at the best form of their careers right now.
Both players are set to see their contracts with the French club expire in June 2025, meaning any interested team can negotiate a pre-contract from January next year—just three months away.
This presents a golden opportunity for Tottenham's management and manager Ange Postecoglou to bolster the attack with two players who have the potential to become top-tier stars in the future.
Considering the potential departure of Richarlison and Timo Werner’s imminent return to RB Leipzig following his loan spell, both Jonathan David and Angel Gomes would be excellent options for Tottenham at no cost.
In fact, both players have recently been linked with the North London club. According to a report from Sport, Tottenham is set to compete with FC Barcelona for the signing of Jonathan David, who is viewed as the perfect replacement for Harry Kane, despite the summer signing of Dominic Solanke.
On the other hand, GiveMeSport reported Tottenham's interest in Angel Gomes, noting that they would be up against Newcastle United and Manchester United for the young Englishman's signature.
