Tottenham fans receive a relieving Randal Kolo Muani transfer update

Tottenham Hotspur are operating with swagger in the transfer market. Cash injections and record revenues have offered the Lilywhites wriggle room on the financial front, not to mention 25 years of Daniel Levy-led prudence.

Spurs aren't reinventing the wheel. They're spending big—too much, apparently—on players they're well aware of, that everybody knows, but we don't need to be clever.

We just want to be good again, and signing players who have proven themselves to be more than capable on English shores with scope to only improve under Roberto De Zerbi is the right way to go about things.

Plus, our work on the departures front shouldn't go unnoticed. Once Radu Dragusin eventually joins Fiorentina permanently next summer, we would've made upwards of £80m on Luka Vušković, Alejo Véliz, Alfie Devine and the Romanian defender. That's not bad going, even if Vušković is supposedly a world beater who'll Brighton & Hove Albion will sell for double in 2028.

Moreover, we're not doubling down on erroneous decisions of the past. We're moving on from João Palhinha, an eventual hero, and, more importantly, Randal Kolo Muani.

Kolo Muani may not be heading to Juventus... but no Tottenham interest

Let's have it right, the Frenchman was terrible in north London.

I had high hopes for Kolo Muani after a promising spell at Juventus last season, but rarely did we see a footballer of the required level don No. 39 in Lilywhite. He could run in straight lines, and that was about it. His loan ended with just a single Premier League goal, and plenty of regret.

Thankfully, it seems like Spurs have no interest in bringing him back for another go at it. According to Sébastien Denis, Juventus are stalling at the last, having all but reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain, and several other clubs are starting to circle, presumable unaware of his north London antics.

Denis lists Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Borussia Dortmund as potential destinations for the 27-year-old, who'll hope to finally secure a permanent transfer away from Paris this summer. Spurs are not in the mix.

The club has moved onto the final stage of its swift rebuild under De Zerbi. Defence and midfield are sorted, but the frontline needs so much work. We're expecting at least two through the door, with an array of wide players linked and an ambitious move for Eli Junior Kroupi seemingly not beyond us.
