Tottenham are moving onto the final stage of their swift summer rebuild, and it may well be the trickiest.

Roberto De Zerbi has rejigged his defence and transformed Spurs' midfield in short order, with the Lewis family cashing in on 25 years of Daniel Levy frugality. The purse strings have been loosened in a big way, and there are no signs of the Lilywhites slowing down in the transfer market.

Once the Sandro Tonali deal gets over the line, with official confirmation imminent, Spurs would've spent more than £230m on three players. Three more have joined as free agents.

The excitement is palpable, with the sense of unpredictability regarding the club's next move keeping the fanbase on its toes. It's all so novel; all so unfamiliar.

Tottenham are weighing up three exciting winger targets

Gen Z's Paul O'Keefe, a.k.a. @szyexcl, put his burgeoning reputation on the line when he called the Mateus Fernandes agreement early doors. There's a lot of transfer tosh on social media, with a litany of supposed "insiders" striking out unrelentingly.

However, this bloke we can rely on. I don't know who he is or who he knows, but his information is reliable.

His latest scoop regards our pursuit of superior options out wide. The Rafael Leão murmurs are starting to gather pace, and 'szy', I'll call him, lists the Portuguese star alongside Savinho and Antonio Nusa as the three wingers at the top of our shopping list.

Savinho we've known about for a long time, and interest in Nusa dates back to his Club Brugge days. We supposedly spoke to Nusa's camp a few weeks ago, and are currently engaged in talks with Leão's entourage.

Leão will leave AC Milan this summer after a fairly tumultuous career at San Siro. He seemed destined for superstardom and Milan legend status when he inspired the Rossoneri to the Scudetto in 2021/22. However, consistency has been a major issue since.

On his day, there are genuinely few superior. Leão's absolutely electric in full cry, with the effortlessness at which he operates rendering him an enthralling watch. We saw his very best only recently during Portugal's thrilling 2-1 win over Croatia in the round of 32 at the World Cup.

There was once a time when Leão was a £100m+ winger, no questions asked. Now, with two years left on his deal and Milan happy to part ways, the 27-year-old could be scooped up for less than £50m. That somewhat reduces the risk on Spurs' behalf, with Leão's potential to boom in a majestic way outweighing the likelihood that the winger never takes to north London life.

The next bomba is only around the corner, it would seem.
