Tottenham fans actually won't hate what Jamie O'Hara just said

Jamie O'Hara has said what very few Tottenham fans are saying, backing his old club to stay up, but it's a welcome message for those of a Spurs persuasion.

It was been a real graft for Tottenham, even after the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi. The new Spurs boss has just one win to his nam - a narrow win over bottom club Wolves - and while that win has lifted spirits a little, it has not hidden the gravity of the situation.

West Ham and Nottingham Forest winning mean Spurs remain two points from safety, and they are five points behind Nottingham Forest, who now look to be on the brink of securing safety.

To make the situation more concerning, Xavi Simons has been ruled out for the rest of the season through injury, and Dominic Solanke has picked up a fresh issue.

De Zerbi is really going to have to earn his money to keep Tottenham in the Premier League. It's set to be a sprint to the finish, likely between themselves and West Ham, though Forest do have some very difficult fixtures, and they have lost Callum Hudson-Odoi to injury, so it's no doubt that their points total will remain as is.

Jamie O'Hara just made a bold prediction Tottenham fans won't hate

According to O'Hara, the race is between Spurs and West Ham, and he thinks his old club will win the race.

O’Hara said on Sky Sports: “I have changed my mind. I have looked at the fixtures properly; West Ham are going to get four points, and Spurs are going to get six points. We are going to beat Leeds and Everton, and we are going to stay up on goal difference.”

He added: “West Ham are going to draw with Brentford, everyone is going to be up in arms. We are going to get beaten by Villa, but then they are going to lose to Arsenal and Newcastle [before beating Leeds on the final day].

“We are going to beat Leeds, get beaten by Chelsea and we will beat Everton on the final day of the season to stay up on goal difference. A bit of positive attitude, Spurs are back!”

In truth, none of the sides involved have an easy fixture list between now and the end of the season, but it's clear FOrest have the most difficult run-in, while Spurs arguably have it slightly easier than West Ham, who next face a Brentford side gunning for Europe and then an Arsenal side that simply has to win amid their title race with Manchester City.
