Tottenham Hotspur are going to be one of the Premier League clubs most closely linked with a big attacking move in the January transfer window, because if any team is in need of a serious jolt in the final six months of the 2025/26 campaign, then it is Spurs.
The attack has been improved by the addition of Mohammed Kudus on the right wing, and Spurs should only get better once James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski return from their serious injuries. But the strikers have done nothing to help matters and maybe more concerningly, the left wing is almost an abyss with no replacement having joined the club this summer after legend Son Heung-min joined MLS.
According to a report from Fichajes in Spain, Tottenham have found a new priority transfer target on the wings, as their next big prize is Everton breakout star Iliman Ndiaye, who has been dazzling Premier League fans this season with his mazy dribbling across from new Toffees signing Jack Grealish.
Tottenham were linked to his partner in crime, too
Funny enough, Spurs were among the teams linked to Grealish this past summer, but now they could be after his partner on the right wing. Ndiaye, though, is capable of playing on either flank and is putting up great numbers this season with 4 goals, nearly 4 dribbles completed and fouls drawn combined per game, and 1.3 key passes per contest despite the Everton strikers struggling a bit.
Fichajes notes that Ndiaye won't come cheap, though. Everton know what they have in the 25-year-old winger who is only just entering his prime, and they would want potentially 70 million pounds in order to sell him.
That amount would break a transfer record for Tottenham, because 70 million pound would edge out the 65 million pounds Spurs paid for striker Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth in 2024. Solanke hasn't been worth that kind of money, and Spurs do have to worry that for as smitten as the fanbase and they are in Ndiaye, that he may not be worth that kind of money either. After all, he's only been this great for a couple of months.
But Ndiaye is worth having on the transfer wishlist for Spurs alongside players like Antoine Semenyo and Ademola Lookman. There aren't many high impact wingers who can come in and start for Spurs this winter, and Ndiaye may not be available until next summer anyway. But he's worth having on the list.
