After a perfect night at the office on Saturday, where he recorded a clean sheet, goal, and a win, Radu Dragusin was again in nations league action for Romania, as they travelled to Lithuania for their second away trip in as many games over this break.

It was the nightmare start to the game for Romania, who conceded from the spot after just seven minutes (Dragusin did not give it away). However, just eleven minutes later, they would be level with a penalty of their own, in an intense start to proceedings. The game slowed down after that, and the sides went into the break at one goal a piece.

Then, around twenty minutes into the second half, Dragusin produced a brilliant carry forward past the halfway line, before feeding the ball to Dennis Man, who played a perfect through ball to Denis Dragus who converted when one on one to give the Romanians the lead.

Romania would hold onto the lead from there on into secure a 2-1 victory and make it two wins from two in the nations league over this October international break.

As a result of this three points, Romania remain top of their group with four wins from four to maintain their perfect record so far. They remain three points ahead of Kosovo, and with this win tonight – and have secured at least a play-off spot against a third place team from league B to give them a chance to get promoted.

As for Dragusin, that is the end of his very productive international break, and he will now return to North London in preparation for the game against West Ham United on Saturday lunchtime, where he will perhaps be needed – depending on the physical state of Cristian Romero after traveling back from South America after playing in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
