According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in one particular performer from the Danish league, but will have some stiff competition if they are to secure his services.

That player, as per GiveMeSport, is Chilean winger Dario Osorio of FC Midtylland.
According to the report, the 'Chilean di Maria' is on Tottenham's list of targets.Osorio is a 20-year old winger who joined the Danish giants from Universidad de Chile last summer, penning a five year contract. He scored eight goals in just fifteen starts in his first domestic campaign for Midtylland.

They further state that they are not alone when it comes to Premier League interest, with Crystal Palace and Brentford also said to be interested. They point out the Danish connection at Brentford, with several Danish and/or players who played in Denmark at the Bees, and a Danish manager in Thomas Frank. Borussia Dortmund are also said to be linked.

On matchday one of the Europa League, he scored against Hoffenheim, one of Spurs' opponents, which looked to be the winner before a late equaliser from the Bundesliga outfit.

Despite his young age, Osorio already has 13 caps for the Chile national team, and featured in all of their Copa America games last summer, as they fell to a group stage exit.

It is well documented that Spurs have made moves to sign a lot of young players in the last couple of years, though it is interesting to note that not many have been from South America, despite the continent being seen as a serious place for talent and value for money signings.

Osorio is primarily a right-winger, and as it stands would have a hard job dislodging Brennan Johnson, who currently has six goals in last six games, out of the team. However, with Dejan Kulusevski now seen as a midfielder, there is not much beyond Johnson and there is no harm in having as much squad depth as possible.
