Randal Kolo Muani is where he wanted to be all along. His Tottenham loan merely delayed a desired return to Juventus, and the Frenchman blamed his longing for the Bianconeri as the primary reason why he performed so poorly in north London.
There was good reason for supporters to be excited by Kolo Muani's loan arrival at the end of last summer's transfer window. While he wasn't fancied by Luis Enrique at Paris Saint-Germain, the versatile forward had established himself as a €75m asset following a successful spell at Eintracht Frankfurt.
That promise resurfaced during a short loan at Juventus, where he scored eight times in 16 games.
We'd pursued Kolo Muani in January 2025, only for the Frenchman to choose the Old Lady. However, when Juve failed to reach an agreement with PSG in the summer, we swooped and forced poor Kolo Muani to spend a year away from the club he seemingly fell in love with.

Juventus, who have signed Kolo Muani permanently in a deal that could be worth €50m, were undeterred by the forward's wretched north London loan, where he cosplayed as a professional footballer for much of it and ended the 2025/26 season with just a single Premier League goal.
There were few redeeming qualities, although his post-substitution antics during a hugely significant 2-1 win at Aston Villa down the stretch was genuinely one of my favourite moments of the season.
Before Roberto De Zerbi took the reins, though, Kolo Muani barely even tried to care. His nonchalance drifted towards indifference, and many supporters had wiped their hands with the Frenchman until injuries forced him into a starting role down the stretch.
Still, moments of success were fleeting. He struggled mightily overall, and the 27-year-old believes his overriding desire to play for Juve was the main reason why.
"There were several things that didn't work [at Spurs]," Kolo Muani told TuttoSport (via Chris Cowlin). "For me, it was something more personal. I think my mind was a bit elsewhere: I wanted to return to Juventus. It's also an episode in a player's career: not every season can be positive, we can say that.
"For me, it was a year in which I learned something: I had injuries, my first injuries, but luckily I was able to recover from all of them. I think it's due to all these things, but now it's a new championship, it's a new chapter for me. So I think it's a new version of me, let's say."
Kolo Muani was hindered by a dead leg at the start of his loan, setting him back. He was sidelined for more than a month, and never truly recovered. Still, his latest comments are unlikely to draw any sympathy from the Spurs fanbase, who had suspected as much all along.
