Amid rumours linking him with a move away from the club next summer, a pundit has stated that Tottenham will not let their sought-after defender go.

Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Radu Dragusin has recently found himself at the centre of transfer rumours, with reports linking him to a potential move back to Serie A.

Napoli has emerged as a club reportedly interested in securing his services, but former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes the speculation surrounding Dragusin’s future is likely driven by his agent and is far from grounded in reality.

Dragusin, who joined Tottenham in January for a €25 million transfer fee, became the most expensive Romanian player in history.

The move was met with plenty of excitement, but the 22-year-old has struggled to nail down a regular spot in the starting XI.

Despite flashes of potential, his time on the pitch has been limited, and many are now questioning whether he can carve out a future at the club.

Robinson, speaking to Tottenham News, explained that agents often use media speculation to spark transfer rumours, which can quickly gain momentum.

With the vast number of media outlets available today, a single story can easily snowball into something bigger, generating interest from other clubs or even putting pressure on the current team.

However, Robinson is adamant that Tottenham won’t let Dragusin go, at least not in the upcoming January transfer window.

He argued that the club still sees significant potential in the defender and that they haven’t yet seen the best of him.

With Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven both facing injury and disciplinary concerns, Robinson believes Dragusin will soon get more opportunities to play.

He said, “There’s no way Tottenham will let him go in January. He’s only just joined, and Spurs fans haven’t seen the best of him yet. With injuries to Romero and van de Ven, Dragusin will get a run of games. He’ll be frustrated with the lack of playing time so far, but Spurs are not going to let him go just yet.”

Despite the lack of minutes so far, Robinson feels that Dragusin’s time at Spurs is not over, and the defender will have more chances to show his worth.

While loan rumours might persist, it seems Spurs are keen to keep him around and see how he develops in the coming months.

For now, it seems Dragusin’s future at Tottenham is secure.
