The Carabao Cup has officially returned for the 2024/25 season, with teams already battling it out this week. Tottenham Hotspur are set to return to the Carabao Cup in the third-round.

So far, there have already been some giant killings in the Carabao Cup, with Norwich City and Sheffield United among the list of big teams who have already been eliminated from the competition.

The Carabao Cup follows a new format, which has been adjusted in line with the Champions League format changes. Essentially, it means that teams within European competitions cannot be drawn against each other in the Carabao Cup third round.

The Carabao Cup third round will also be played across two separate weeks, to acommodate the increased fixture list of UEFA competition.
