Micky van de Ven provided an excellent solo assist for Tottenham Hotspur during their win over Man United in the Premier League.
Tottenham Hotspur are finally hitting a nice bit of form. They have now won their last four matches on the bounce, including two in the Premier League.
Spurs put three past Man United at Old Trafford. Considering it was the biggest Premier League game of the weekend, Ange Postecoglou was happy to provide the entertainment.
Without a doubt, Tottenham's 3-0 victory over Man United was a result of a great collective performance. However, it is only fair to highlight one player for his impact - Micky van de Ven.
For Spurs' first goal, Micky van de Ven ran the length of the pitch to put the ball on a plate for Brennan Johnson. It wasn't the first time and it certainly won't be the last, either.

Micky van de Ven's assist unlocked the game for Tottenham and put them on course to win the match. He only assisted within the opening three minutes but Man United's later red card put Tottenham in cruise control.
Micky van de Ven is no stranger to bombing forward. He is great at attacking set pieces but even in open play, he is comfortable driving the ball forward. In fact, he wouldn't look out of place as a box-to-box midfielder.

The pace at which Micky van de Ven dribbles is incredible. In fact, he dribbles with the ball at his feet faster than many wingers could even imagine. Bear in mind, he is a centre-back, one of the more seemingly "immobile" positions on the pitch.
We are sure that Tottenham fans could re-watch this incredible assist all day long. However, given the reputation Micky van de Ven is building for his speed and attacking output, it shouldn't be long before he replicates this again.
Next up for Tottenham Hotspur, they will face Ferencváros in the UEFA Europa League. It would not come as much of a surprise if Micky van de Ven starts in this match too. After all, he is a number one option for Tottenham, but even more so when Radu Dragusin's UEFA Europa League suspension is factored in.
