Ange Postecoglou targets former Arsenal forward Serge Gnabry
I don't think anybody saw this coming but according to Football Insider, Tottenham now have a "concrete interest" in signing Serge Gnabry from Bayern Munich come the end of the season. The Germany international has become one of the best wingers in the world since leaving Tottenham's North London rivals Arsenal.
It is revealed that Bayern Munich are willing to sell Gnabry in the summer. It is likely because the club will undergo a transitional period and their new head coach may feel the need to rebuild for the future.
Serge Gnabry doesn't have the best experience of English football, having played 11 league games (including his loan spell at West Bromwich Albion). He scored one Premier League goal for Arsenal during this time but it is in the Bundesliga where he made a name for himself.
Spurs lead the race for Morgan Gibbs-White
Another transfer update from Football Insider reveals more news which fans will like. The report claims that a winner has been named in the race for Morgan Gibbs-White.
Between Tottenham and Newcastle, it is expected that Tottenham have the advantage as they lead the race. This is because they are in a better financial position, particularly with the benefits received from qualifying for the Champions League.
Morgan Gibbs-White has been one of the standout performers in the bottom half of the Premier League table this season and it expected that his signing would one of the Postecoglou prototype, with comparisons to James Maddison last summer.
Five players expected to leave Tottenham this summer
Football Insider also claim that five players are expected to leave Tottenham this summer. In the report, it is stated that Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Bryan Gil, Sergio Reguilon and Joe Rodon are the players on the chopping board this summer.
No surprises there. Of the list, there isn't a single first-team player as they are all either loaned out or struggling to get into the first team this season. Ange Postecoglou knows himself the players who he considers for the long-term future of the club, and none of those feature on that list.
