Tottenham join the race to sign Jarrad Branthwaite
Tottenham have been criticised for their inability to keep many clean sheets in the Premier League this season and understandably so. While their attack has been firing on all cylinders, it is a fragile defence which has cost Ange Postecoglou this season and hence, they need to sign some more firepower in the summer transfer window.
Fear not, Tottenham fans, for this is exactly the route which Ange Postecoglou wishes to take. According to a new report from TEAMTALK, Tottenham are keen to join the race to sign Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton, after the Englishman has broken through as one of the best defenders in the Premier League this season.
The report states that Bayern Munich and Manchester United are interested in signing him but Spanish giants Real Madrid have also expressed a keen interest. Therefore, there is strong competition for Tottenham's latest transfer target.
Sergio Reguilon was difficult to deal with behind the scenes
One situation which must be addressed by Tottenham Hotspur before the summer transfer window is the future of Sergio Reguilon. The Spanish full-back is currently on loan at Brentford, with his Spurs contract set to expire in 2025. Therefore, this summer is crunch-time if Spurs wish to acquire a monetary gain from his sale.
According to The Athletic, Tottenham consider Reguilon as a difficult character to deal with behind the scenes. Therefore, the signs are pointing towards his sale this summer, particularly with Destiny Udogie impressing throughout the 2023/24 campaign.
Tottenham consider Dani Olmo signing
Tottenham are still on the lookout for a new centre forward as they have not yet replaced Harry Kane. It is the biggest cliche surrounding Spurs at the moment but they could do with a centre forward bagsman to come in this summer since Timo Wener, Richarlison and Son Heung-Min are better used in other positions.
According to a report from GiveMeSport, Tottenham are considering a "serious summer move" for Dani Olmo of RB Leipzig. Olmo could fit into the centre forward role as he has experience playing in an advanced position for RB Leipzig this season. Although it is not his favoured position, he shows signs of being able to convert to a striker. It would be an interesting move, for sure.
