Tottenham transfer news as Ange battles with Arsenal for Newcastle striker

According to a report by The Sun, Newcastle United are prepared to receive interest from both Arsenal and Tottenham for their star striker Alexander Isak. It is believed that the Magpies expect bids from both North London outfits of around £100m, clearly showing intent to lock horns.

Alexander Isak is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and after Newcastle United's disappointing season, is ready for the next step. Given that Tottenham and their bitter rivals Arsenal are both on the hunt for a centre forward, it seems like the logical next step.

Under Ange Postecoglou, the Tottenham hierarchy is showing a keen intent to invest in the squad and fund the Aussie's vision, understandably. Since he arrived in the summer of 2023, Ange has given the board every reason to back his vision, hence some world-class signings with many more to come.

The future is bright at Spurs with some promising starlets on the horizon. Ageing at 24 years old, Isak would be an excellent addition to the young Spurs squad with the future ahead of them.

As great as Spurs have been, they lack the cutting edge which Harry Kane provides. Although the signs suggest that the Lilywhites are playing better without their former talisman, there's no denying they could be competing for the title with Kane leading the charge under Ange.

Therefore, signing a prolific striker like Alexander Isak who is capable of playing across the front-line and involving his teammates in build-up play could be crucial. Certainly, this Tottenham transfer news should excite fans.
