Tottenham star named as potential target for Brazilian side

Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has been identified as a possible target for Brazilian club Vasco da Gama, with a potential move being suggested for 2025.
The news comes from former Vasco da Gama striker Edmundo, who revealed the club’s plans to bolster their squad in the coming years, with Richarlison reportedly high on their list.
Richarlison, who joined Spurs in a high-profile transfer from Everton, has struggled to meet the expectations that came with his hefty price tag.
The Brazilian international has not yet found consistent form in North London, leading to growing speculation that his time at Tottenham could be coming to an end.
Despite these rumours, the forward remained at the club beyond the recent summer transfer window. However, a transfer in the near future could still be on the cards.
Speaking to CNN Brasil, Edmundo shed light on Vasco da Gama’s ambitious plans. The 53-year-old, who is a club legend, outlined the team's desire to bring in a few "heavyweight" players to strengthen key areas of the pitch.

He mentioned Richarlison as one of those potential recruits, saying:
"The idea is to keep all the main players and hire two or three heavyweight players. One for the defence, one for the midfield, and two for the attack. Heavyweight like Richarlison. I’m dreaming, and I can guarantee that 2025 will be different."
Vasco da Gama, who are keen on restoring their status as a dominant force in Brazilian football, seem determined to add star quality to their ranks, and a player like Richarlison would undoubtedly bring international experience and attacking flair to the squad.
Richarlison's performances have not justified the significant investment made in him, and Spurs may be inclined to cut their losses if a lucrative offer materialises.
A move to Vasco da Gama could also appeal to the player, offering him a chance to revive his career back in Brazil.
With 2025 still some time away, it remains to be seen whether Vasco da Gama will follow through with their interest in the striker.
