Tottenham Hotspur head into their clash against Manchester United off the back of three consecutive wins across all competitions, yet they still sit mid-table.

With both Spurs and United tied on points, this match at Old Trafford presents an opportunity for Tottenham to climb up the Premier League standings.

A consistent run of form could see Ange Postecoglou's men start to make significant strides in what is still a very open season.

Although Old Trafford is notoriously tough for any visiting team, United haven't been their usual imposing selves this campaign.

They've been shaky in recent games, and Tottenham will be looking to capitalise on their struggles. However, Postecoglou will need to field a strong lineup to ensure his side can walk away with all three points.

There are a few injury concerns for Spurs heading into this fixture. Wilson Odobert and Richarlison are confirmed to miss out, with both players still sidelined.

The bigger worries lie with captain Son Heung-min and 18-year-old Archie Gray, both of whom picked up slight knocks recently. In both cases, there are no significant worries.

If Son is fit, he will almost certainly start, and his involvement could be crucial for Spurs. However, his availability remains uncertain, with Postecoglou hinting it will be a “touch-and-go” decision.

On a brighter note, Cristian Romero will be available after missing out midweek due to a UEFA suspension. His return will provide some much-needed solidity at the back for Spurs, who have only kept two clean sheets this season.

In terms of a predicted lineup, Guglielmo Vicario is expected to continue in goal, with Pedro Porro, Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Destiny Udogie forming the backline.

In midfield, Rodrigo Bentancur should partner with James Maddison, who has been crucial in Tottenham’s creative play this season.

Up top, Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson are likely to feature alongside Dominic Solanke, with Son Heung-min starting on the left if deemed fit. Should Son not be ready, Timo Werner could step in.

Predicted Tottenham lineup vs Manchester United: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Kulusevski, Bentancur, Maddison; Johnson, Solanke, Son (or Werner).
