Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for their first home game of the Premier League season against Everton on August 24, 2024, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After a disappointing start to the campaign with a draw against newly-promoted Leicester City, Spurs will be looking to secure all three points in front of their home crowd.

Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham’s manager, will be hoping his side can bounce back and show their true potential in this crucial fixture.

The absence of Rodrigo Bentancur, who suffered a head injury in the previous match, is a significant blow. Bentancur’s creativity and energy in midfield will be sorely missed, but Tottenham will need to adapt quickly.

Dominic Solanke, another summer signing, will also miss the game due to an ankle injury sustained in the match against Leicester. His absence opens the door for Richarlison to lead the line against his former club.

In goal, Guglielmo Vicario is expected to start, continuing his role as Tottenham’s first-choice goalkeeper. The backline will likely consist of Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Destiny Udogie.

In midfield, with Bentancur sidelined, Tottenham could see Pape Matar Sarr partnering with Archie Gray. Sarr has shown promise in his appearances, and Gray, despite his youth, has been impressive in his performances so far.

The attacking trio behind the striker is expected to feature Dejan Kulusevski on the right, James Maddison in the central role, and Heung-Min Son on the left. Maddison’s creativity and vision will be crucial in unlocking Everton’s defence, while Son’s pace and finishing ability will be a constant threat.

Richarlison will have the opportunity to lead the line against his former club, Everton. The Brazilian forward will be eager to make an impact and prove his worth in front of the Tottenham faithful.

Everton, managed by the experienced Sean Dyche, will not be an easy opponent. Despite their heavy defeat to Brighton in their opening game, they will be determined to bounce back and put up a strong fight.

However, with Everton’s defensive issues and Tottenham’s attacking firepower, Postecoglou’s side should have enough to secure a victory.
