Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping a close eye on Valencia midfielder Andre Almeida, according to HITC.

Almeida, who has also caught the attention of Manchester United, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Wolverhampton Wanderers, is becoming a notable figure in the Premier League transfer landscape.

Since joining Valencia from Vitoria Guimarães in 2022, Almeida has shown significant development. Despite a challenging 2023-24 season marred by injuries, where he made only 18 appearances, his potential remains highly regarded.

Premier League clubs are undeterred by his recent injury issues and continue to pursue him. Tottenham is among those showing strong interest in Almeida.

The club, along with Manchester United, has been closely following Almeida’s progress over the past year. Aston Villa and Newcastle United have also been proactive, reaching out to Valencia this summer to inquire about the midfielder’s availability.

The current front-runner for Almeida’s signature appears to be Wolverhampton Wanderers. Reports suggest that Gary O’Neil’s team is actively preparing an offer for the Portuguese star.

This position could shift, however, as Tottenham and other interested clubs may intensify their efforts to secure Almeida before the transfer window closes.

For Tottenham, the decision to pursue Almeida might hinge on their transfer activity in the midfield. If Spurs fail to bring in a new midfielder before the window shuts, it could indicate that manager Ange Postecoglou plans to utilize Archie Gray in that role.

This scenario would also suggest that Postecoglou views Lucas Bergvall as a potential key player for the team.

Almeida’s potential move to Tottenham would not only add depth to their midfield but also bring in a player with proven experience in European football.

His ability to make an impact in the Premier League is well-recognized, and he could provide the creativity and stability needed for Spurs to strengthen their squad.
