Tottenham Hotspur are exploring new midfield options as they prepare for the upcoming season.

According to recent reports from HITC, the North London club has been presented with the opportunity to sign Borussia Monchengladbach's Manu Kone.

The 23-year-old midfielder, who has caught the eye of several top clubs, is now available for transfer after expressing his desire to leave Monchengladbach.

Tottenham's interest in Kone is not entirely new. The club's been keeping an eye on him for a while, showing they've really liked what they’ve seen and believe in his talent.

However, recent developments have intensified Spurs' pursuit. Kone's representatives have reportedly reached out to several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United, and Fulham, signaling that the player is keen on a move to England.

The midfielder has also been a target for Chelsea, who considered him as a possible replacement for Conor Gallagher. Newcastle United had shown interest earlier this year, but with Kone now actively seeking a transfer, he has become a more prominent name in the transfer market.

Monchengladbach values Kone at approximately £20 million, a fee that Tottenham might find reasonable given their current midfield needs.

The club's previous attempts to secure players like Conor Gallagher and Jacob Ramsey have not materialized, leaving a gap that Kone could potentially fill.

Tottenham’s on the lookout for midfield upgrades, and it’s clear that this is a big priority. Manager Ange Postecoglou might be deciding between Kone and other potential signings or thinking about using Archie Gray for a key role.

Plus, with Djed Spence possibly backing up Pedro Porro at right-back, it’s evident the club’s working hard to get their squad sorted for the season.
