The Athletic recently disclosed Tottenham Hotspur's admiration for Alexander Isak, the standout player from Newcastle United. However, despite their keen interest, securing a deal for the Swedish sensation seems to pose considerable challenges for Spurs this summer.
Since his move to Newcastle two years ago, Isak has established himself as one of the Premier League's most formidable strikers. Speculation over the past few months has hinted at Tottenham's interest in making a sensational move for the Swede, with reports suggesting he could potentially fill the void left by Harry Kane's departure.
Fueling the rumors, Football Insider hinted in April that Spurs had identified Isak as a target for a successor to Kane. Additionally, The Sun reported Newcastle's potential willingness to part ways with the center-forward due to financial fair play concerns, anticipating offers from both Tottenham and Arsenal.
However, journalist Graeme Bailey dismissed such notions, asserting that Newcastle has no intentions of parting with the prolific striker, expressing confidence in his continued presence at St James' Park.

Tottenham linked to £100 million Premier League star striker
The Athletic's latest report reinforces Tottenham's admiration for Isak, acknowledging the club's interest in the former Real Sociedad player. Nonetheless, it underscores the financial hurdles and complexities associated with striking a deal for the coveted striker.
While Tottenham might find themselves in need of a number nine, particularly if Richarlison is sold, there's an acknowledgment within the club that securing Isak's services would come at a hefty price. Furthermore, with Isak content at Newcastle and the Magpies reluctant to part with him, Tottenham's pursuit of the striker remains uncertain.
Any potential deal would likely require a substantial offer, possibly ranging between £80 million to £100 million, to sway Newcastle into considering a transfer of their star player. Despite his market value of €75m (around £64 million) according to Transfermarkt, Isak's future at Newcastle appears secure, leaving Tottenham with a challenging task ahead.
