Fabrizio Romano reports that Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners, previously linked with Tottenham Hotspur, has now emerged as Juventus’ primary midfield target ahead of the summer transfer window.
Koopmeiners has proven himself as one of Serie A's most reliable midfielders over the past two years, playing a pivotal role in Atalanta's Europa League success this season. The Dutch international has consistently showcased his talent, making him a desirable asset for top clubs.
In April, Koopmeiners admitted to the Dutch outlet De Telegraaf that he had informed Atalanta of his desire to seek a new challenge. This revelation has fueled speculation about his future, with numerous clubs eyeing his signature.
Tottenham Hotspur is among the clubs reportedly interested in Koopmeiners, with various sources indicating that the North London club has shown significant interest in the player over the past few months, as per Tuttosport. Spurs are looking to strengthen their midfield under the guidance of new manager Ange Postecoglou, and Koopmeiners has been identified as a potential target.

However, Spurs face stiff competition for the 26-year-old midfielder. Juventus and Chelsea are also said to be monitoring Koopmeiners closely, according to Rudy Galetti. The battle for his signature is expected to be fierce, with these clubs keen on bolstering their midfield options.
Romano has recently taken to social media to confirm Juventus' concrete interest in Koopmeiners. He reports that the Bianconeri have identified the Atalanta star as their top midfield target this summer and are preparing to make an official approach.
Romano also quoted Atalanta president Antonio Percassi, who acknowledged the widespread interest in Koopmeiners: “For sure several top clubs like Koopmeiners, we will consider his future soon.” Percassi’s statement suggests that Atalanta is bracing for a potential bidding war for the Dutchman.
While Spurs have shown interest in Koopmeiners, reports over the past couple of months indicate that Tottenham may be more focused on his midfield partner, Ederson. This could mean that the North London club might prioritize a move for Ederson over Koopmeiners, despite the latter's impressive performances.
Koopmeiners’ consistent performances have attracted attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, setting the stage for a potentially exciting transfer saga.
