Tottenham Hotspur have a very good modern squad, with one of the best coaches in the business. However, it will not stop Tottenham fans from reminiscing the past, particularly those cult hero players.

The North London club is often criticised for their lack of silverware but they are still a massive club, due to their rich plethora of former players. In fact, they have housed some of the best players throughout history.

One former Tottenham player is currently one of the best full-backs in the Premier League. However, he could be on his way out of his current club.

After missing out on a move to the Saudi Pro League, due to their transfer window shutting yesterday, the former Tottenham man could move to Turkey.

Tottenham legend could still secure transfer to Turkey this month

According to a report from Sky Sports, Kieran Trippier is tipped for a move to Turkey this month. After losing his place in the starting lineup to Tino Livramento, the Newcastle United defender could seek a new adventure.

Sky Sports claim that Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Eyupspor are all interested in bringing the former Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier to the Turkish Süper Lig.

Saudi Pro League stalwarts Al Ittihad were interested in signing Kieran Trippier but they are now unable to make a move, considering their transfer window is closed.

When Kieran Trippier left Tottenham Hotspur in 2019, he joined Atletico Madrid. It was the move abroad which set him on a pedestal as one of the best full-backs in the world. Therefore, he could have a similar plan in mind before the end of the Turkish transfer window.

The Turkish summer transfer window closes on September 13, meaning there is a week and a half for this deal to progress.

Certainly, it is worth keeping an eye on from a Tottenham perspective, since Trippier is a hall-of-famer from the Mauricio Pochettino era. He replaced Kyle Walker in the starting lineup, quite a statement to have on your resume.
