Tottenham Hotspur stat leaders at the end of September
By Tom Vinall
Which Tottenham Hotspur players lead the way when it comes to stats for the 24/25 season up to right now?
With Spurs having now played their last game in September, as they head into October - they have played seven games in all competitions. Let's look at the stat leaders.
Tottenham Hotspur stat leaders at the end of September
Brennan Johnson is the club's top scorer, with four goals - all of which have come in the last four games, and in three different competitions. The two weeks since the North London derby defeat could not have gone any better for the Welshman and it is great to see him confident and thriving.
Heung-Min Son, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Micky Van De Ven all lead the way in the assist charts with two each. Dejan Kulusevski will feel aggrieved not to have more, with the midfielder creating nine chances and three big chances in the win at Old Trafford.
As for some Premier League-only stats. Solanke is averaging 3.2 shots per game, showing further evidence that his form last few games is sustainable. Johnson is averaging three shots per game, showing that his confidence is improving - the wideman had six shots against Brentford alone. Maddison and Odobert come in third, with two shots per game each - though a larger sample size for Maddison.
Heung Min-Son has created the most big chances for Spurs in the Premier League, with four. Maddison and Kulusevski have three each, whilst Micky Van De Ven impressively has two.
As for successful dribbles in the league, Son leads the way with 1.8 per game, followed by Maddison with 1.7 and Bissouma with 1.3 per game. These numbers further prove the point that Spurs could still do with a 1v1 specialist or two in their squad to open games up.
Rodrigo Bentancur leads the way for Premier League interceptions with 1.8 per game, followed by Pedro Porro with 1.5 and Romero with 1 per game. More evidence that Porro is continuing to improve his defensive game.
Some great stats in there, some perhaps not quite as good but plenty to be excited about after a great couple of weeks for the club.
