Tottenham faces competition from Manchester City for EURO 2024 standout transfer target
We've reached the first third of July and the transfer window rumors show no sign of stopping for Tottenham fans. Here at Hotspur HQ, we continue to bring you the latest updates.
It appears that Manchester City, as is their custom, has joined the race for a Tottenham transfer target. Sky Sport reports that they are eyeing Dani Olmo, the Spanish attacking midfielder currently playing for RB Leipzig.
Previous reports indicated Olmo was open to a move this summer, and his impressive performances in EURO 2024 have only strengthened this possibility. Sport BILD (h/t Sport Witness) had previously linked both Tottenham and FC Barcelona with the player.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich is also in the mix. It's worth noting that all clubs mentioned have also been strongly linked with other attacking players, such as Barcelona with Nico Williams and Bayern with Xavi Simons.

Recent reports surrounding Tottenham, though, seem more focused on Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace or Desire Doue from Stade Rennes, with the latter also on PSG's radar.
Manchester City's interest now makes Dani Olmo's signing even more challenging for any interested club. Nonetheless, in the transfer window, anything can happen, and it's best to wait for more concrete reports.
The Spanish midfielder has scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists in 5 matches at EURO 2024. Not bad.
