Tottenham Hotspur's activity in the market is far from over. Despite recent reports suggesting that Spurs were content with their current squad, it appears that the North London club may still be looking to strengthen their right-back position.

The latest rumors suggest that Tottenham are considering a late move for Monaco’s Brazilian full-back, Vanderson, as concerns persist over their existing options.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Djed Spence would remain at the club as competition and cover for Pedro Porro. Spence, who has shown promise during pre-season, seemed to have secured his place as a backup right-back.

However, according to sources from GiveMeSport, there are still lingering doubts within the Tottenham camp regarding whether Spence can consistently deliver at the level required by manager Ange Postecoglou.

This uncertainty has led Tottenham to keep a close eye on Vanderson, who has been impressive at Monaco. The 22-year-old Brazilian has caught the attention of several clubs across Europe, and Tottenham are now seriously considering making a bid for him before the window closes.

Vanderson is seen as a versatile and dynamic right-back who could offer strong competition to Porro and potentially fill the void left by Emerson Royal, who recently joined AC Milan.

Contrary to these developments, football.london had earlier reported that Tottenham were not interested in signing another right-back, dismissing any rumors linking the club with Vanderson as "wide of the mark."

The report emphasized that Postecoglou was satisfied with the options at his disposal and that Spence had earned the opportunity to prove himself as a reliable deputy for Porro.

Adding another layer to Tottenham’s right-back situation, The Telegraph has reported that summer signing Archie Gray is poised to play a significant role in that position for the upcoming season.

Gray’s inclusion could impact the need for additional reinforcements, as the club may rely on him alongside or instead of potential new signings.

Bruno Andrade from UOL Esporte reported that Tottenham have been in talks with Monaco about acquiring Vanderson, who is recognized as one of Ligue 1’s top attacking full-backs.

Early reports indicate that Tottenham are set to offer around €40 million (£34.2 million) for Vanderson. This potential move would not only address a significant need for Spurs but also represent a substantial investment in strengthening their defense.
