Tottenham defensive signings update: Loic Bade
Tottenham need defensive reinforcements, and they need them fast. Radu Dragusin's parent club Genoa CFC are on the verge of completing a deal with Spurs as they negotiate a fee for the player supposedly valued at £25.8m.
Now, reports seem to indicate that Tottenham are in the hunt for another center-back in the form of Sevilla's Loic Bade. According to El Chiringuito TV (via The Hard Tackle), Tottenham are "plotting" a move for the 23-year-old French international.
As the media outlet reports, Spurs are getting ready to send over an offer soon. Transfermarkt currently values the central defender at around £8.6m, but with his professional experience in the French and Spanish leagues, coupled with his potential moving forward, the fee could rise well past the £10m mark.
The player's height in the box combined with his strength make him a formidable opponent for oncoming strikers. His pace and passing ability fall somewhat short when compared with that of Spurs defender Micky van de Ven, however, which should raise some question marks about how he'll get on with Ange ball.
It's hard to say if Bade perfectly fits the profile of defender that Ange is looking for, but nevertheless he could add some depth where it is duly needed.
