Tottenham confirm another summer friendly, set to face Championship side

Spurs already have a busy set list before heading back to North London in August, but that hasn't stopped the club from adding another match to the schedule.

Spurs have already kicked off their summer series of friendly matches with last week's clash against Newcastle, which Ange's side lost in penalties despite James Maddison's creative goal in the 32nd minute.

The Lilywhites are also set to face Vissel Kobe on July 27th in the J. League World Challenge, along with Bayern Munich on August 10th.

There's also a friendly set to take place, between those two fixtures, in South Korea, though the opponent has yet to be announced.

Per new reports, however, it seems that Tottenham will now face Queens Park Rangers on July 20, before any of those other matches. The match has also been published on the club's official site.

According to Tottenham's announcement of the fixture, the last time the two clubs met was back in March of 2015. During that clash, Spurs walked away with a 2-1 victory thanks to a brace from Harry Kane.

Though there's been some criticism against Ange Postecoglou for his push to have the club play Newcastle so shortly after the end of the regular season, the next two months without action should provide the club with enough recovery time to assuage fears from fans about potential player injuries.

QPR have finished 18th (23/24), 20th (22/23), and 11th (21/22) across the past three seasons in the EFL Championship respectively (Sky Sports).
